Whether you fancy a serious swim or just a splash with the kids, there are plenty of options nearby. Scroll down for a map.
Splashing
Priory Park is great for the kids, with a splash pad alongside the other playpark features.
Getting there: there's no easy public transport option so it's best to drive (~20 mins on quiet roads)
Swanley Park has a splash pool and water play area, as well as an inflatable waterslide (small charge)! They run quiet sessions first thing in the morning, but these need booking. There's also 60 acres of parkland to explore!

Beddington Park, Wallington
While it's not a fully fledged paddling pool, Beddington park has a splash play area for kids during the summer months. And you can pop into IKEA afterwards...
Getting there: just jump on the 407 (~45 mins) or drive (~20 mins)
Croydon Road rec has a play area and paddling pool. There are also landscaped gardens and lovely views to enjoy.
Getting there: head into east croydon (train or 407 bus) then jump on the 194 bus (~60-70 mins), or drive (~30 mins when quiet)
52 hectares of grassland, gardens, paddling pool, and mini golf amongst its attractions!

Slightly further away, but Wimbledon Park has a great splash pad and water play area.
Getting there: head into Clapham Junction then change for Earlsfield and walk (~1hr) or drive (~45 mins)
Swimming
Fancy some wild swimming? Then head down to this former sand quarry in Godstone and enjoy the cool water of the 7.3 acre reservoir. It's a lovely secluded spot! Swimmers must be 7 or over, and it's worth reading their site for booking and safety info as this isn't your usual lido!

A year-round wild swimming site with a 400m loop. All swims need to be pre-booked with the Surrey Hills Adventure Club.

A purpose built 285 metre swimming lake, you'll need to prebook this one through PTP Coaching. There are also playgrounds and nature trails to enjoy.

For a less wild swim, head to Guildford for a 50m outdoor pool, paddling pool and slides. But get there early!
