A wide, flat track marks the airfield perimeter and is the perfect place for a stroll, or a walk with the kids on their bikes. Gliders often fly from the airfield, and it's great fun to watch them take off and land. There are also great information boards thanks to the Kenley Revival Project to tell you all about its role in WW2.
Head up the small set of steps in the hedge on hilltop road, and follow the track up to the airfield. If there's no flying going on and the gates are open, you can cut across the runways and shorten the walk.
