Selsdon Wood Nature Reserve

Updated: May 24, 2023

Explore 200 acres of woodland and open meadows in this lovely parkland in the middle of Croydon. There are regular guided walks, which you can find here. There's a lovely piece on its history here.

The Friends of Selsdon Wood provide info on two routes around the reserve, the red route at 1.6km and the green route 3km. Full directions are available here.

Getting there: jump on the 409 towards Selsdon at Whyteleafe station. Jump off close to the route's end at the Selsdon Nature Reserve bus stop. The bus runs roughly hourly, so make sure you plan your journey back to avoid a long wait! There's also a small car park at the Nature Reserve.
