Whyteleafe: Hawkhirst Woods (Short Walk)

Updated: May 16, 2023

To the north of Kenley airfield are some lovely woodland strolls. There are lots of variations, but its easy to simply follow Hawkhirst Road down towards valley road, and then stroll back into town - or jump on the 434 as it passes.

Start the walk from hilltop road and take in the wildflowers on Whyteleafe Bank too - they're particularly beautiful in May and June.

The track is wide but can be rutted and muddy, particularly the section between Whyteleafe Bank and the airfield.
